As members
of the American Morgan Horse Association, we are committed to this fundamental purpose: "To perpetuate the Morgan breed
of horse by preserving the original blood and type; rather than by effort to bring about improvement or change in size, speed
or other features." (Purpose of The Morgan Horse Club, 1909)
The
GoMorgans website is supported by AMHA members who believe in the Morgan breed with honest, open communication and cooperation
between board, staff and members.
We believe in: - Preserving
the Morgan breed registry, promoting foundation bloodlines and adhering to the Morgan breed standard
- Ensuring honesty, ethics and integrity of all board members and staff
- Promoting open communication between board, staff and members
- Strengthening the Association by reaching out to the membership in a spirit of cooperation
We will support ONLY those board members and candidates who:
- Are strong advocates for members' rights
- Adhere
to the qualifications for directors, as per Article IV, Section 4.3
- Will
protect the status of the directors-at-large as representatives of the entire membership
If you believe in changing the direction of AMHA to better represent the members; if you believe in protecting and
preserving the breed, then do your part. Silence is NOT an option. Your voice and your vote do count!
